Beginner's-How-To-Do : Custard Fruit Cocktail

Assalamualaikum and Hi! :)
This recipe I got it from my housemate. I enjoy making custard fruit cocktail using her way noticing the steps were very simple. Just need to spend few minutes then my custard fruit cocktail is ready to be chilled inside the fridge.
So hey okay, whadaya need?

Simple Ingredients
*Consider this is for a group of 6 - 8 person eat at a time*

For custard pudding:
- One cup of custard powder
- One table spoon of vanilla essence
- 1/5 cup of sugar
- Four and half cups of plain water
For fruit cocktail syrup:
- One tin of fruit cocktail
- One tin of evaporated milk
- Plain water (ratio of 1:1 water:milk. So, using one tin of milk, u will need one tin of plain water)
- One egg (only need the yellow yolk. Beat it with sugar)
- 1/5 cup of sugar
- Few drops of red syrup coloring

The Steps
For custard pudding:
1. Bring all ingredients to the boil in a pot and make sure that you keep stirring continuously, until it thickens and looking sheen. (When it first started to thickening, do not panic as what I used to be, and start adding in more water or more custard powder, at last I ended up frustratingly with the outcome, but just keeeeep stirring it non-stop till all of it beautifully thickens together)
2. Take off the heat and leave to cool then chill it in fridge.
For fruit cocktail syrup:
1. Bring the milk + water + yellow egg yolk + sugar to the boil in a pot.
2. Mix the fruit cocktail (you can either drain half of its syrup or use all of it) with the boil mixture + red syrup coloring - stir them for a while only.
3. Take off the heat and leave to cool then chill it in fridge.
~ The End ~

Taraaaa~ settle! Only few minutes taken. Easy right? Owh, and they are best to be served chilled. :)

Try one and you may adjust the ingredients as you like - to have softer custard pudding / thicker fruit cocktail syrup / add jelly or nata de coco or other fruits (e.g. lychee, banana) in the syrup.

Enjoy! Hmmmm... thinking that I really like custard pudding and there're so many other dishes/desserts by custard. Have to learn them and try. :)

Bye, Mr Blog!
